Geophysical Wireline Well Logs

TeaCo provides calibrated borehole geophysical well logging services that provide our clients an objective, repeatable, continuous profile with depth of geologic materials and their associated fluid properties. As the tool is raised through the borehole, data is continually collected and displayed in real time. This allows professionals to make immediate interpretations and decisions with regard to location and attributes of geological formations. The data is easily achievable for later study and analysis.

Applications are numerous:
  • industrial wells
  • test holes
  • production wells
  • monitor wells
  • stratigraphic test holes

TeaCo has a registered professional geologist on staff with over 10 years experience in borehole geophysics in the State of Mississippi. This service is provided to those in the water well, environmental, and geotechnical industries with limited well logging on shallow gas wells.

This Mount Sopris Instruments® outfitted logging truck is a diesel 4 WD Chevrolet 3500HD mounted on a heavy duty suspension. This unit is equipped with a 7.5 kilowatt DC to AC inverter mounted on the engine and fueled by the main tank for prolonged use without the need to refuel, like is necessary with portable generators. Additionally, the 4000 foot single conductor wireline is threaded through a series of pulleys onto a telescopic boom pole that can be rotated.

TeaCo can perform both open and cased hole surveys along with the ability to provide long term accurate water level monitoring in wells. All geophysical wireline electrical logs are reviewed by a registered professional geologist and remain confidential unless otherwise agreed.

TeaCo’s open hole logging service has a basic suite of Gamma Ray, SP (Spontaneous Potential), Current, Single Point Resistivity, and four focused resistivity curves (R8,R16,R32,R64). Other capabilities also include fluid resistivity/fluid temperature, flowmetering, optical televiewers and stand alone gamma ray.

TeaCo’s cased hole services include Gamma Ray, Caliper, Cement Bond Logs (CBL), and optical televiewers. These services allow associated professionals the ability to enter the cased wells to evaluate well integrity prior to coming online and to reenter older wells to evaluate conditions.
